Contact Gornergrat Tickets
Email me at [email protected]. I read everything, and corrections go to the front of the queue: if a fare, a date or an inclusion on this site no longer matches the operator’s own tariff, I want to know which page.
What I can help with
Factual corrections, questions about the difference between two tickets, and press or operator enquiries. If you are stuck between the railway and the cable car, or between a plain return and the hiking ticket, write and say who is in your party and which month you are coming. That is usually enough to answer it.
What I cannot do
I am an independent guide, not the railway and not a ticket seller, so I cannot see, change, refund or cancel a booking. Bookings made through the widgets here are held by GetYourGuide, and the confirmation email is the way to reach them. I also cannot tell you whether the Matterhorn will be out on your date, and I would not trust anyone who says they can. For live departures and the operator’s own counter, go to gornergrat.ch.
Before you email
Most of what I am asked is already on the site. The price page has the full 2026 fare table by station and season. The discounts page has the exact 50% rule and the seasonal child ages. The timetable covers the 24-minute frequency and the closure from 2 to 14 November 2026. If you are still choosing between tickets, start at all five, compared.
Where the railway starts
The Gornergrat Bahn station is in Zermatt at 1,604 m, directly opposite the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn main station, which is where you arrive by train. Zermatt is car-free, so if you are driving you stop at the Matterhorn Terminal Täsch and take the shuttle in. How to get there has the whole route.
